Earth Day is the perfect time to celebrate Spring and go outside as a community for a Clean Up Day. Many hands make light work, and you’ll see results quickly when everyone pitches in. Bring rakes, shovels, and other yard work tools to help tidy up around the library in anticipation of the final push to get our new tiered outdoor area ready for the warmer months. - Tiny Art Show – Monday, April 7th-Saturday, April 12th
Create your own tiny masterpiece for our Tiny Art Show! This free program is open to all ages and skill levels; drop in anytime from April 1st-4th to pick up a tiny canvas to create a tiny artwork to exhibit during the Tiny Art Show or join us for a Tiny Art Session to create your masterpiece at the library. Tiny Art Sessions will be held on Tuesday, April 1st at 4:00 pm and Thursday, April 3rd at 11:00 am. The theme is Drawn to the Library. All Art must be turned into the Chatham Library by Saturday, April 5th.The Tiny Art Show will be exhibited at the library during the National Library Week, April 7th-12th. Public will vote on “Best in Show”!The library reserves the right to exclude any works.

The annual Friends of the Library Spring Book Sale in Chatham is almost here! This event, hosted by the Chatham Friends of the Library, offers a great selection of hardback and paperback books, DVDs, children’s books, and more. The sale will be held at the Ennis Building, 340 Whitehead St, across from the Pittsylvania County History Research Center & Library. Proceeds from the book sale help support the library’s summer reading program, the Bookmobile, and many other library-related programs. - Superhero Fest – Saturday, May 3rd, 10am-2pm
