- Special Events
- The Movement film with cast Q&A! – Thursday, January 16th, 3:00pm -5:00pm
The Chatham library will be showing the film The Movement which tells the courageous story of the leaders and protestors that took to streets in 1963, risking their lives in a coordinated effort to end segregation in the Last Capital of the Confederacy. The film will be shown at the History Center and afterwards members of the cast and crew will answer questions and discuss their experiences making the film. Light refreshments will be offered. - Pop-Up Book Sale – February, while supplies last
Show some us some love during February! Our Friends of the Library is holding a special Blind Date with a Bookbag Sale. Each bag will be filled with paperback romance novels for just $5. This special sale will be at the Chatham Branch Library while bags are available. Spoil your sweetheart or surprise yourself! - Random Acts of Kindness Week – February 10-15
Pick up a Kindness Bingo Card and return with a completed bingo by the end of the week, February 15th, to receive a treat. We’ll also have a kindness shout out board!

Each time a new year rolls around, it seems the age-old resolution to “read more books” does too. This year, we challenge you to not only read more books but to read 25 books for 2025! And, we've developed a bingo card to guide your reading and encourage you to step outside your comfort zone. All ages invited to play! - Bingocize – Mondays & Thursdays, begins on January 27th, 9:00 am
Looking for a fun, new way to be active? Sign up for Bingocize! Bingocize is a 10 week program which combines bingo, education, and exercise resulting in fun! Classes are free and will be held Monday and Thursday mornings at 9am beginning January 27 at the Chatham Library. Interested? More info needed? Join us for an information and demonstration session on either January 13th and January 16th at 9 am.; this is open to everyone!
