- Needles & Such – Every Tuesday at 10:00. Join us for crochet, knitting, beading, or hand embroidery with friends. Bring your own projects to work on.
- Beginner Crochet- May 12th & 26th at 5:30pm. Learn the very basics of crochet at your own pace and get in person assistance from one of our great crochet teachers! Bring your own supplies or use our in-house crochet supplies.
- Summer Reading KICKOFF! May 29th at 11:00am. Get ready for our annual Summer Reading Program! This year’s theme is Unearth a Story and we are kicking it off with a party on the lawn! Enjoy music, snacks, games and most importantly, get signed up for the challenge!
- Tuesday Mocktail Mixer- May 19th at 6:30pm.
- Herbology 101- Learn the basics of herbal medicine making. Classes held on the first Thursday of each month from 5:30 pm – 7 pm. Classes run for 6 months. Current class is full and registration is full. If you are interested in the next course, please contact the library for more information.
- Tai Chi- Meet twice weekly for a 30-minute Tai Chi session. This class will teach Tai Chi basics for Arthritis and Fall Prevention. Classes held outside, weather permitting. Classes meet each Monday at 5 pm and each Friday at 9:30 am.

The annual Friends of the Library Spring Book Sale in Chatham is almost here! This event, hosted by the Chatham Friends of the Library, offers a great selection of hardback and paperback books, DVDs, children’s books, and more. The sale will be held at the Ennis Building, 340 Whitehead St, across from the Pittsylvania County History Research Center & Library. Proceeds from the book sale help support the library’s summer reading program, the Bookmobile, and many other library-related programs.

We will be showing a Bob Ross tutorial and attempting to paint just like him. Granted on a smaller canvas with acrylic paints. Relax and have fun as we paint happy little trees.
